Finalising a report end to end
Who this is for: the accredited person and the coordinator who sends the finished statement out.
This picks up where article 8 ends: the inspection work is done, the job is at Awaiting sign-off, and the accredited person has read the assembled statement and clicked "i acknowledge".
Sending it
- Open Send report for the job.
- Pick the recipients. The list starts with the building's contacts that have an email address on file; add or remove people as needed. At least one recipient is required.
- Send. Three things happen from here:
- The report is given its report number and appears against the building straight away.
- The PDF is produced in the background. This can take a few minutes.
- When it is ready, it is emailed to the recipients you picked, and the job moves to Final.
What finalised locks
A job at Final is locked: it does not move backwards, and the statement as sent is kept as the record. There is no un-finalise button, and no editing a sent statement. If something is wrong with a finalised statement, email [email protected] and we will work through it with you.
What finalising does to the schedule
Finalising a routine inspection moves the next due date forward on every measure that job covered. Callouts and re-inspections do not move the schedule (article 7 explains why).
If something goes wrong
- "pick at least one recipient before sending." means exactly that: the statement has nowhere to go yet.
- A message about a signatory requirement for this jurisdiction means something the statement legally needs is missing. Check the building owner or occupier recorded on the building, and your contractor licence reference in your settings, then try again. If it still will not send, contact us.
- If the report seems stuck rendering for more than a few minutes, email [email protected] with the building name rather than finalising again.
